Question Just purchased A4 questions

I just got my A4, was playing with all the switches and noticed the fog lights did not light up. One of them looks to be broke, but would that affect the other one as well? I would atleast think one side would work.

My Drivers seat is really difficult to move forward and back, its manual but it feels like something is stuck on the rails but when i look, I dont see anything. Would WD40 help this or something else?

Also the cup holder does not push in all the way. Anyway to fix that as well or do you know why it wouldn't go in all the way.

Thoughts?

check the bulbs, and the fuses for the fog-lights
manual seat on mine also seems hard to move, lubing may help, or just adjust it and leave it unless you plan on getting taller or shorter every week.
the cup holder is probably broken like most of the ones out there

Thanks for the response, the seat adjustment is so my gf can drive it when need be. She is about 7" shorter than me. As for the cup holder, eh, oh well lol.

By any chance can you tell me where the Fuses are for the fog lights? Also any suggestions for a repair manual? Is there a pdf floating around that is available to download by anychance?

thanks!

if your talking about the rear foglights, there is only one that comes stock.
so if your missising the passenger side light its not bad theres a diy to add the second one.

The rear fog light is on the driver side tail light, above the back-up light. Unlike the front fog lights, there is only one of them. It's used during fog/snow/rain to help other drivers see you in front of them. There is a button on your dashboard for this, probably in close proximity to your front fog light switch. My dash is different that yours, so I can't tell you for sure where it is.

BTW, what year is your A4? Did it come with an owner's manual?

Its an 01 A4 and yes it did. I kinda skimmed through it to look at some of the features the vehicle has. Does it show where the fuses?

2001? Ok, in that case, our dashboards are the same. The rear fog light button is to the right of the front fog light button on the dash.

Yes, the manual definitely tells you where the fusebox is. I believe it's on the lower left side near where the engine hood release handle is. It's been awhile since I've been in there.
