K&N Filter Fit?

K&N Filter Fit?
I have an '01 2.8 and was wondering if anyone had any problems getting this specific filter to fit in our stock boxes.
33-2125 - K&N Replacement Filters, Replacement Air Filter
According to K&N and Autozone this is a direct replacement to our stock filter, but I saw that some VW owners were having problems getting this to fit in their vehicles. I figured I would ask before I buy one, get disappointed, and then have to return it.
If anyone has another suggestion to filters, I am listening.
