key fob complete numbers need to match?

key fob complete numbers need to match?
okay I was looking to purchase a couple of key fobs and was wondering if all the numbers had to match. I have 4DO.837.231D. I was wondering if anyone knew if the last letter would make a difference If I was planning on getting them programmed and cut anyways?
