Default Keyless entry is not working.

My keyless entry used to work, but I dropped my good key and had to use a spare for about 4.5 months. Now that I have gotten my good key fixed and put new batteries in it; it doesn't work.

I haven't gotten anything to drastic done to my car except:

timing belt/water pump
and ignition switch replaced.

Could one of the fuses been blown when the auto mechanic was pulling fuses to see if my (ignition switch problem) was in fact just a fuse?

Is it hard to recode your car?

Default RE: Keyless entry is not working.

Took mine to the dealership, they couldn't program it, but i tried this and presto, works:

Found the following info on reprogramming the fob on this forum (from jestnomen on 10/298/2004):

The following instructions are to reprogram your switchblade key fob.

1. Take a spare key and insert it into the ignition. Turn it one click forward.

2. Roll down your window just in case. Step outside the car, and lock the car with a second key.

3. With your second key fob press the unlock button. The lights should flash.

4. Now lock the car with the key fob, and then unlock it.

5. Remove the key from the lock and the key from the ignition, and try it's function.

Cheers
