Have you checked to see if the boot is available separately? Maybe German or ECS? You could have it Friday from either of them and we can fix it Saturday. If it isn't, see if you can get to Garys and pull one off that A6?

i found the best prices for a rack and pinion from mjm and autozone. mjm also has a $610. maybe it's way better quality? lol. job looks easy, i hope it comes with inner tie rod. new boots come on the new rack though. i'm gonna call up mjm to see if i have to pay shipping for the core. if so i'll just get it from autozone because it's only 40 bux more than mjm

One of these days we REALLY need a East vs. West meet.
I vote for Chicago....

I GPS'd once and it says it should take about 23 hours from SoCal to there.
Dunno... I drove from Norfolk, VA to Colo. Springs in 29.5 straight, no stops but gas.

Yow. Painful bite to take, Yu. How soon can they get it for you? Hopefully by Friday. Let me know - we can change it Saturday. Feel like coming by Friday night and we can do my whole t-stat job then, and spend all of Saturday on your steering rack?

As for the east meets west idea, hell we could meet in a Kansas field for all I care. Rally the cars for 10 hours, plow down a bunch of beer, burn the SOB to the ground, and call it a meet

no rallying for me. unless i put on my stock suspension of course but that's not happening. we could do a autocross type thing though. i can get a rack from autozone next day if i order b4 3 and mjm is not picking up their phone.

all the racks I've ever bought came with inners. If they don't it would probably be from Autozone. As for that rack, if you're changing let me grab that boot off the pass side.
