2000 a4 b5 quattro avant

i searched around for a bit and could not find if anyone else has had this problem. i took my car to my trusty audi mechanic after noticing my brakes started to go to **** and my brake light turned on. he told me my abs pump is leaking, but my abs control module is fine. said it was rare and that its usually the other way around. the leak is pretty serious, got me below the minimum line in about a day. the brake like is on but not the abs light.

can i just leave the abs module and have the pump replaced? are the parts interchangable?

 

just get a pump. the module is right on the pump and the part number is stamped on top of the pump. the parts are only interchangeable with the same part numbers. the facelift and prefacelift had different part numbers
