Running an Unorthodox LWFW (13 pounds Alu Steel hybrid) on my 2.8 with the PES supercharger. So far no issues, but still minimal miles. I just wanted to jettison some dead weight, as the 2.8 needs all the help it can get. No other lightweight options out there for the 2.8...but since you have the 1.8, agreed try to get something in steel.

The entire kit is priced at $849. Can I get more performance and durabilty for my money?
Will an aluminium flywheel handle the abuse a billet steel one would?

No, it won't.

That link that Tweaked posted seems like a great deal. I think I'll go with a Southbend clutch kit with a 15 lb steel flywheel. But DTH's clutch/flywheel kits only come in stage 3,4, and 5. Is their going to be a dramatic difference between a Southbend stage 2 and 3 clutch in terms of pedal feel and smoothness?
