Default A little tip for a clean oil change.

I did an oil change when I got home from work today and just wanted to share how I change the filter. Just make sure you have a good bag that has no holes! Make sure the bag is tucked in tight behind the oil cooler and hang a handle on that clip up top. Just a little idea to help keep your garage floor clean.

I never liked that method for the 1.8 engines (not enough room) but for the 2.0T's man its a must! Almost a whole quart comes out of those f*ckers!

Thanks for sharing the tip! I do the same thing except I use a 1 gallon zip lock freezer bag. I've found they're a bit tougher than the grocery bags lol. Your coolant expansion tank is lookin kinda funky on the bottom...

That freezer bag idea is good. I guess whatever works right? I need to replace the expansion tank eventually. The mechanic that installed my engine put in some yellow coolant and it started getting clumpy and left some burnt residue in the tank. I had to do a flush and put in the right stuff. It even caused a couple of cracks that I had to fill with some indusrial glue for now lol. That's just one thing he did wrong. He might have gave me a good price, but I ended up regretting it.

Lol thats cute. Just let a lil spill, have a nice drain pan, and use some brake clean after to get the excess of the subframe and whatnot.
