Location of alarm module?

Default Location of alarm module?

As stated where is the alarm module in a 99 a4? I think mine went bad. Alarm no longer arms when i lock doors.

sounds like a bad door switch, but its located in the rear left of the trunk. you can hear it run when u press the button.

The whole door lock assembly (including the alarm electronics) is in one module in the trunk on the right side behind the carpet paneling and underneith a piece of foam. The box has vacuum lines and wires both coming out of it.

When you change the module, will you have to have it reprogrammed?

I was wondering how you removed the box was their any bolts or just glued up? Thank you

There’s nothing holding it in. It’s just a module encased in foam, and all you have to do is squish the foam to remove the entire unit as one. There will be some cables and air hoses attached that you will need to remove, but that’s about it.
