Default Looking at this A4

So I've never owned an Audi but I've been looking around at them lately. I've found this one (http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/851227831.html). I was wondering if some of audi guru's had any advice on what to look for when I got and test drive it. Is that a fare price? Any other advice at all would also be greatly appreciated. I'm traditionally a Honda man, but I've since grown out of the "mod it cheap" ordeals and now I just want a nice car that I can take care of and keep nice and clean, but still have a blast driving.

I'm a college student so I don't have TONS of cash, but I do have a lot of mechanical knowledge and am willing to fix everything myself when possible. I've rebuilt Honda manual transmissions and torn down Honda motors as well as suspension work and a little chassis work.

Just looking to get acquainted and hopefully gain a little know-how before I buy another neglected money pit. Thanks in advance!

thats pretty high milage but not a bad price. just as long as you make sure theres nothing wrong it it obviously. ask if the timing belt has been replaced in the last 70k miles, if they say no, or they dont have reciepts, you will have to do it immediately and its $300 in parts and $700 in labor so take that into acount. pay 100 bucks and have a reliable mechanic look the car over before purchase. its worth throwing away 100 now to save you thousands later. ask the owner how they cared for the car, they better have used synthetic oil every 3-4k miles. any work they claim to have done, get proof of it. these cars can last 200k+ miles if well maintained. ask about accidents.

if your not looking to modify the engine tho, i would suggest getting a 2.8 with less miles instead.

Unfortunately the car has already been sold. What a bummer. I guess I'll just have to keep looking.
