It's a 1999, A4. V6, auto. has about 150000. What in particular should I really pay attention to? I know it has aftermarket cats - it passed inspection but is also throwing a code - haven't read it yet. Other issues concerns about these?

There's a newbie section under the FAQ that covers the likely issues for the a4. Best advice is to spend the money to have the car evaluated by a local Audi shop. A well maintained car will have records or receipts, and save you thousands Dow the line. Good luck!

 

Thanks for the FAQ... I didn't see it at first. Have an appointment for a PPI at a very knowledgeable shop. Recent receipts available and know current owner and mechanic. As long as it doesn't cost as much as my M3 I'm good!
