Default Lost pick up and power

I am a new person to this forum. I am not a mechanical engineer. I just bought 2001 Audi 14 1.8T 5 months back. It has 63+K in the odometer. Couple of day’s back I started feel like the car lost its pickup and speed/power. I have no idea what causes this but i am afraid to take it to an Audi service station without knowing what it could possibly be.

I am reading lots of guide here but cannot conclude anything. If someone can help me, that would be a great help for me.

Thanks,
Sundar N.

5 months ago temps were probably cooler wherever you are at and you didn't suffer from heat soak (as much). Look into a chip. Just be glad you have an 01 and get an extra 20hp than the 97-00 1.8T's from the factory. A chip will change your entire driving experience for the better. The way they should have come from the factory.

Check to see if you have a boost leak - http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64411

Could be heat soak, could be a boost leak.

Could be that the engine has had an overboost condition and gone into limp mode.

If you're in the US, go to Autozone and ask them to pull and clear the engine codes and post them back here. They usually do it for free. You can still have lots of codes stored without triping the check engine light.
