So I was turning into my street and down shifted in to 2nd and stepped on the gas it started to go and then it just bogged down..no stuttering just bogged down (RPMs dropped) as if I just let off the gas pedal. For about 1 1/2 seconds then took off again...I have a feeling it might have something to do with DBW..but not sure. Anybody else had a similar problem??

 

WhAt kind of A4 is it? 1.8T or 2.8? If it's the 1.8T you might have gone into limp mode and your turbo isn't producing boost anymore.

1.8t 2002....if the turbo stopped spooling would it make the car loose ALL of its power?? I floored it when it happened and it did nothing...it was like I didn't even have the gas pedal pressed down.

 

Hmm.... If it's in limp mode you would still be pushing at least 5 psi I think... So maybe it's not that. Go have it scanned and see if there are any codes. If so post them here and we will see whats going on.

No you can go to anyplace like that. Just make sure to write them down or something.
