I changed the passenger side motor mount, fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter over the weekend. Now my 2.8 is making a loud turbine-like sound at startup when the motor is cold.
The sound stops after 30 seconds when the secondary air systems shuts off and the motor drops from 1200 RPM to idle.
Might be the SAI secondary air pump? Wondering if I disconnected the breather hose going to the airbox. I think the SAI pump is right next to the motor mount?
Would a faulty fuel pressure regulator cause this? I'm putting the old one back in tonight to see if that cures the problem.
EDIT: Looks like there's a DIY fix: http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthread.php?3751790

SAI sounds right...from what I've heard they do make a loud whistling noise when they start to fail. These things do break from time to time, so I'd put my money on that.
Hopefully it's just the rivets failing in the pump housing and I can fix it according to the DIY above.
I replaced the rivets and problem solved. Cheap fix.
