Default Lowering springs install: DIY or pay $180

Is this worth it, pay $180 to have it installed or is it pretty much easy to do?

The question is really, do you want the hassle, yes or no. While I do a lot of work myself, that price too me seems reasonable enough to for go hassle. But I'm better off than I was 3 years ago, where I wouldn't ever pay to do anything I thought I could do myself.

Springs scare me, especially after hearing my friends method of wrapping it in a tarp , and removing the bolt without using a spring depresser.

coilovers aren't really different than springs, especially if you have to reuse the spring seats for the rears. I had no experience with suspension and followed the diy on audidiy.com (excluding the steps about removing the front upper strut bolts...) and thought it was very easy, I probably wouldn't even pay $100 for it to be professionally done.
springs and compressors aren't really thatt scary.. I've been with people that have cut springs with everything but the tires off... I definitely wouldn't do that myself and I don't really even know how they did it successfully but they did.. with more than one car (mk2 jetta, mk4 gti, wrx)
