i did it myself over the past 2 days. did the rears last night. did the front today. although i brough the new stuff to a place where we know the people who own it so we used theyre wall mounted compressor. which let me just say...i couldnt imagine doing it with a portable compressor haha or any other way. the shop right down the road from me wanted 40 a spring so 160 grand total, which for what we did is to much to shell out. so i vote DIY

A tarp....FAIL! I did v-maxx coilovers for $550. IF you do just springs, your are gonna blow your shocks and have to replace them anyway. H&R, Tein, Eibach are all good brands...suspension isnt something you want go no-name brand or to the lowest bidder. Honestly, just save and get the coilovers. In the end, you will be happier.

good info I hadn't considered before

$550, is that all 4 corners?

That'll probably be my next non-cosmetic mod.

well, i went DIY method last summer... needless to say when i was all said and done i could see the bone in my finger... needed a bunch of stitches and couldnt golf all summer... lame. but i did it all by my self!!! and the best part is that my car insurance covered 100% of the accident next time i might call my car insurance before hand and tell them im goign to do something risky on my car myself... see if they will just pay someone to do it professionally instead of paying 4x the amount at the doctors office lol

and p.s. if the spring didnt hit my arm/ hand it would have smoked my face, causing much, much more damage.

my accident was kinda a freak one, and i would probably diy that same project again, but im just saying to think twice
