Thanks for this. As far as the strut fork is concerned.. what is odd is everything is in it's proper position. Only thing that would cause that would be the incorrect length of a component. One additional thing that may give a clue or not? The noise can be made with my pushing down on the fender as little as I think 1/2 inch when it is making the noise the loudest. Also when you say the spring perch bolts up top - which ones are those. Just need to find the time to do it. Been pressed lately. Thanks again.

Post an audio clip of you pushing down on the fender and what it sounds like when you do.

Here is the car noise. You can hear 3 separate sets of repeating sounds that are basically identical. In each set there are 2 sounds - the first is pushing down on the fender and the second is when the car goes back up - then is repeat the same for a total of 3 times. Something is definitely binding. Almost like one of your strut pistons are bent.

When yo say strut pistons you mean the shock? If so I thought it was that and when I put the new ones on and the noise started I replace it again with another new one. It did not make a difference. Also I just switched strut assemblies (left to right and right to left) and the assembly that was on the side that was making noise is now not and vice versa. Also if it was the piston I would think it would make noise independent of temperature - but it makes no noise when the temp is cool. I agree on your binding assessment.. it sure seems like that. To confirm I will jack the car up and take some photos and video (if I can) and loosen
and re-tighten up everything again (as you suggested in your other post. and see what happens/.

Will do.. One other clue - I can make the beginning of the noise - It is (like you said binding) when the car has been sitting and I grab near the roof with the door open and rock the car back and forth - When I first rock it it is as if it is breaking loose from binding. So what parts would be most activated when rocking the car. Anyway with it being over 110 here working on it is is not fun so choosing cooler times.

I don't think it matters where you rock it from. It would probably be best if you stick you head under there and listen while someone else pushes down on the fender.

Update. first let me say I appreciate again your time and input. Okay about 5 days ago after driving the care with the annoying noise I pulled it into the garage. Even though it was 108 out and the engine hot (that is the best time to hear the noise) I sucked it up and did the following. It really sounded like it was coming more from the front of the suspension (front lower control arm, strut) - but not sure.. So I jacked up the car and disconnected the sway bar - lowered car and it still made the noise. Then I did the same for the front upper control arm. Still made the noise. I then continued to the upper rear control arm. Then loosened the lower rear control arm (at the spindle since the one to the frame is a pain in the butt) - still made the noise. Loosened both bolts to the front lower control arm still made the noise. So overall I have eliminated the sway bar, say bar link, and both upper control arms. I am disregarding the outer tie rod since the noise does not sound or feel near it and the noise is too loud for such a small part. I am considering the rear lower control arm out of the picture at the moment since I cannot really feel the vibration when the noise is made by pushing on the car at the bushing or ball joint. So that leaves the lower front control arm and strut. I got the company (they were good enough) to honor the warranty for that part. It was the only part in the kit not made in Europe (was made in Taiwan) when I bought it and they extended the warranty. So when I receive it a new lower front control arm goes on. If it still makes the noise it seems most likely the strut. If no noise then that was the culprit. Hoping for the best prepared for the worst. At some point I may just give up, though I want this fixed.. lol.

Well, I would definitely suspect the Taiwanese junk first. Don't forget to check your strut perch (in the engine bay).

Again: G/L
