Default Maestro Info

Thought maybe a few people would be inteested in seeing what maestro can do (for sure one person ) Well, it can do a lot. Sorry to say, but ive heard Maestro kinda sucks for AEB and ATW bosch motronic systems. so ill give what info i have on AWM systems, not to mention thats the one i run. it certainly gives a lot of flexibility on tuning options. first off the base files to choose from. to start, there are only a few AWM maps to choose from, one of which is the stage 1 file from eurodyne.

However, in CTapp informed me that AWM engines can use AWP maps, which are off audi tt's. these maps are quite numerous with this screen shot even missing a couple.

I would just like to start this thread on audiforums in case there is any interest with people wantin to go maestro. by no meansam i an expert, i hav simply purchased the program myself and am exploring i for what i can, but as far as im concerned, its as good as a stanalone system in many situations.

Very interesting, I didn't know that's how it worked. I feel like that would be well worth the money later on if I wanted to upgrade. Thanks for the tips buddy

I think between this and the info in your build thread on the zine, I'm sold. Plus, RAI is a Eurodyne dealer and they (and their dyno) are less than an hour from me

rai being close helps quite a bit. are you planning on getting maestro before going bt and using the stage 1 file?

Yeah I think I will. I didn't know there was such thing as a Stage 1 Maestro file until you told me about it lol. Since I can swap maps easily I might as well get it and run the Stg1 while I collect the rest of the parts for going BT

How hard/easy is it to do fine tuning adjustments? And what's the learning curve like? For example adding timing or fueling, things like that.

When I visited RAI they steered me away from it since I told them I've never done my own tuning before. But reading more and more about it makes it seem like its not too bad.

Ray down at RAI sounds liek a Maestro tuning master. Thats pretty much all they use, and he showed me why.

Chris if you have time go let him talk your ear off about the borg EFR, you'll want one so bad you might kill a man for it. Also use their FMIC, go to to Ray for a little and you will see how much better is is than other ones.

He and I exchanged many emails about an EFR kit lol. He's a really nice guy. I'm definitely going to be in and out of that place quite a bit when I step up to a big boy turbo.
