MAF sensor faulty
Hey guys! I run into some problem today and I got really scared! I was at my school and when I tried to leave...my car was powerless and could barely stand on idle! Anyway I had to drive my car back to my hometown 70 km away and it was working without the turbo. I thought my turbo was long gone but I scanned the car with my VAG COM and I got a 0565 error if I remember correctly...which was the MAF sensor.... I went to another garage with the original version of VAG COM and it displayed the same thing plus the gas butterfly (the one which opens when you press the gas.... ) Mine is Drive By Wire so he re calibrated it!
Anyway a new MAF sensor costs 250 euros here... and I am not really sure that its the MAF sensor.... does anyone have a same experience to share???
I can hear my splitter/BOV working and sometimes the turbo starts build up pressure but then it loses it because of lack of fuel or air....
I am sorry but I cant really explain the whole behavior of the engine due to lack of english knowledge on mechanical parts
Can I get my MAF out and clean it? I don't even know how it looks like lol!!

it should run better, period. You say it wont hold its idle this can be a vaccum leak problem. If it was a MAF problem you should see a night and day difference. Does it die with the MAF plugged in and stay running with it unplugged?
