Cruz- I've read your previous posts. You took your car to an idiot mechanic, and you have proven many times over that you arent mechanicaly inclined in the least bit. Those two things are a recipee for bitterness in any kind of car. Also, your cam chain and tensioner were replaced, not timing.

"you have proven many times over that you arent mechanicaly inclined in the least bit"

Is that supposed to be an insult?
You sound like I come on here and try to Diagnose other peoples problems and give them bad info. I tell people what I know based on what I've been through with this car or with others but mostly ask questions about problems I'm having with mine. Its not like I've accidently "proven" i'm not mechanicaly inclinded i've stated it as fact. Sorry I'm not a grease monkey
Also my Timing BELT, cam CHAIN and tensioner were all replaced I have the bills to prove it, since you seem to know so much about my car. Besides that wasnt an ad for a used car, I didnt spend time worrying about details, the guy's thinking about getting rid of his car why would I think he was going to buy mine.
Reguardless, whether someone is mechanically inclinded or not, having a car thats been a disaster from the first month I had it and considering the amount of money i've spent trying to fix every little thing that goes wrong with this POS would make anyone bitter, unless you like spending weekends under a hood and spending money for over priced parts. I'd prefer driving a good car. Its not like this is a classic car that i bought to restore.
F@$K Audi! I'm leasing a new BMW.

Let me first of all say that it sounds like ANY new car, not just a BMW, will make you smile since you just want a troublefree car. Sounds like leasing is made for people like you and there's nothing wrong with that.

In any case, some people like to work on their cars and figure out what's wrong with it. Unfortunately it takes patience to diagnose and learn and some people have that quality and others don't. For example, some people call a plumber whenever their sink is clogged where most of the members on this forum pull out a flashlight and a plunger and get our hands dirty. Different strokes for different folks. There's no right or wrong.

But if you are looking for trouble free transportation, I'd recommend a bicycle. At least it's a start to learning how things work. You don't need a degree to become a DIY mechanic, you just need patience and common sense.

BTW, did you do a prepurchase inspection at a reputable shop before you bought the Audi?

i spend just about every day off of work i get working on my car. not because i have to, because i want to. you have to love your car and it will do the same to you. sounds like you werent prepared for the initial "things that need fixed right after purchase", theres always something. how much that something costs you is a matter of how well you went over the car before you bought it.

even when nothings wrong i still find the tiny little things to fix to keep me busy. like washing and waxing the engine bay, inside the doors jams, etc. taking the tires off and giving them a complete scrub. things that arent necessary but will keep the car looking mint for another 10 years. if you keep up on the maintainence, do things before they fail, this car wont cost you any more then a bmw or mercades or the like.

also parts arent that expensive as compared to any other import luxury car, you just have to know where to look. you also cant go about fixing a problem by replacing random parts untill it works.

sell it and get a 5 speed 4th gen maxima. Nissan are way better than honda and that car is really reliable. and its decently quick with 190hp 205 ft-lbs torque. get to it. ask for more money for your audi. might as well
