then take the mbc out, and get chipped before you blow up the engine

Yeah, but the stock tune is not flexible enough to handle extra boost. He's experiencing lean misfires.

JC1990 is absolutely correct. This car needs a tune for more fuel!

...and it will need a cat

I dont know about lean misfires.. becasue it was doing it at idle, and below when the turbo spooled.
but it went away today... i didnt do anyhting to to.. just came and went like cold.. im guessing i had bad gas, as soon as i filled back up it was fine a few min later

That would only be true if he is maxing out the injectors and his 02 readings are showing lean, but the fact is that the ECU maps are set to increase fuel sprayed based on the maf readings. I have seen A4 owners bump the boost on stock tunes and taking the k03 up to 26psi on a off the shelf tune that is designed for 15psi.

It sounds like he might have burnt valves seeing that he is now stating that it is now back firing out of the intake valves. He needs to do a compression test on the engine.

I can confirm that the ECU can handle the added boost. I have a mbc set at 15-16psi for years now and I actually had to PULL fueling bc the car was running rich. Sooo dont tell people it cant be done, or it will blow the car up, its just wrong information. Ive got a b6 tho, so that may make a difference.

To the OP, you have some serious issues going in with your car. Stop boosting, remove the mbc, and get a compression test done before you do some permanent, expensive harm to your engine.

try gapping your spark plugs? what kinda gas are you running? try cleaning your MAF for a better reading. but seriously, take your MBC out to see if your car is even drivable anymore.
