First off sony sucks ***** at making car audio products. Never ever ever put anything sony in a car. Period (unless its an xbr tv. than yes). Secondly, did you know what you were doing when you tried doing this? I have heard that bose speakers sometimes operate under a three ohm load which, depending on everything else you tried to hook up with it, could have a detrimental effect on the operation of the sound system.

My comment was not intended to be dickish. I actually looked into the fender mod the OP was talking about and it would be a very costly mod. I was simply stating the facts, just the facts.
