This is a write up for converting a Gentex mirror to the original Audi windshield mount. It requires cutting the old Audi mirror backing and modifying to fit inside the back of the Gentex case. It took me about 45 minutes to do. Well worth the trouble and no adapters are needed, nor the funky wire cover. Pictures are included.
