misfire cylinder 2 wtf
replace every effin thing in this car, and the codes now read misfire in cylinder 2, its def not the ignition coil because that was changed a million times. I swapped out ignition coils from 1 to 2 and it still feffin misfire. what could the problem be
ICM=Ignition control module, its easy to replace, its right under the plastic cover on the passenger side (at least it is on my 1.8) If you take the cover off, you'll see a small module with an electrical connector on either side. I might need one myself, although my misfire MAY have been cured by fixing a vacuum leak, it hasn't come back yet since I duct taped my problem part (which I just posted another thread for help on what part it is) but we'll see!
I found some ICM's online for under $100, apparently they are considerably more from the stealership (what a shock!)

what BT5150 said. not to knock on you but this problem has been gone over many many many times. if you searched anything about misfires on a 1.8t you woulda found the answer and wouldn't have had to change "everything"
