Now that I found out I have to replace the front upper control arms, I was hoping to lower the car as long as I had all the bits apart.

I've been eyeing up a neuspeed/bilstein kit from MJMAutohaus for a while but have reservations about going for race springs and the 2" drop that comes with it...........it's mainly camber issues. Need I worry?

You'll have about 1.5 degrees negative camber, and it's not a problem at all. Toe causes excess wear, not camber. Just make sure you get an alignment afterwards and have the shop equalize camber and set the toe to spec, you'll be good to go.
