I'm usually about 26 combined. 1.8T, Manual, Quattro, 102,5xx miles. So far I'm dead impressed, I'm used to thinking 15MPG is absolutely bangin'. Been getting 22 last two tanks though, I've got an issue with the evaporative emissions.

Are these high twenty numbers, low thirties almost all freeway?? Summer i could get like 360 max, but that was combined so am I doin alright or not, shifts generally at 3k, go to high gear as soon as possible when i reach my speed. I change every 3,000 with 0w-40 full synthetic, ive replaced by plugs, fuel filter is good, and ive used both 91 and 92 octane with similar results.

I just purchased a 96 2.8(129,xxx miles on the car) and i only get like 215 miles to the tank!! I use 93 octane, and i have a recent tune up. I dunno what the problem is, so i will be taking it back to my mechanic to figure out why I get such crappy gas mileage.

In town my 30v 2.8 only gets 240 to a tank so your not far off. I don't know if the 12v is better or worse on gas then the 30. I could get 400 to a tank highway if I was really lucky and got 28mpg. The one time I got 29 it was guestimated by starting w/ a full tank driving to Chicago and back and filling up again at the same station I always use and calculating the trip meter and what I put back in. Not the most accurate test but I don't think it was too far off.
