Just found the thread you started about clearing the CEL codes Ben... Looks like you have the same codes I did. I think I'm gonna try the test where I run the codes again and verify it's 2 & 4 and then clear the codes. Swap 2 & 4's coils for 1 & 3 and see if the misfire follows the coils. *FINGERS CROSSED*

Yeah same exact codes, I thought about doing that test (swap the coil packs around) but I figured I'd go ahead and replace the coil packs. Very strange that two went out at the same time though... I was almost certain it was the ignition control module. Apparently the coil packs are notorious on these cars.

Did I have the same noise as a wrx? I wouldn't say so but I was running on two cylinders for sure. It was very sluggish acceleration and stuttering any time I was on the gas. Make sure you don't run the car for very long lest you damage your cat. Mine was glowing orange from just a short drive to autozone. Best of luck to you.

No cat equipped, just a resonator and Milltek exhaust. I'm gonna try the coil switch around tonight and will post the results in the morning.

I too hope it is just the coils... Wouldn't all cylinders be misfiring if it was the timing belt? Just trying to get that idea out of the back of my head...

If I hit boost at all I get BAD spark knock... So I wouldn't know what it does when getting on it hard.
