Default My Audi may have been totaled yesterday

Someone entered without right of way on me and hit me in the passenger side front bumper. Front clip destroyed, hood bent, headlight unit smashed. Beyond that, I tried to peel back some of the clip to inspect for more damage because the hood would not open...looks like maybe the intercooler was damaged?

Is it possible that my turbo was damaged also? Airbags didnt deploy, moderate collision speed...when we turned the car on to back it up and have it towed, there was some god awful engine noise and a sound like a fan failing or spool failing. Honestly, it sounded like I need a new motor from this wreck!?

Its a 2001 with 111k, hibiscus red. WAS flawless, now mangled. Just had the timing belt done at 105.

Part of me hopes insurance can fix it instead of totalling it...I'll know more tomorrow.

wow man that really sucks. at least if he didnt have the right away you shouldnt have to pay for it. and with the turbo it would prolly be fine but its really hard to say.. some pics might help. sounds like your ok? no?

well if you have Geico insurance; when i had my accident they wanted to fix my car. Despite the frame being bent and the engine shifted as if my accord was a rear wheel drive vehicle. I complained enought that they ended up totalling it.

find out what your car is currently worth vs, what the repair costs are.

Definitely sounds totaled. The noise was probably the clutch fan on the front of the engine though.
