That's right, my car smells like gas. I switched from 95 octane to 89 yeasterday and it smells like the inside of my car is filling up with gas fumes. Is there any logical explanation for this? I have not noticed any leaks or anything. It's a little intoxicatating, but on the bright side, I have a good excuse for when I get pulled over by the police.

 

My car does too. Take the carpet out of the trunk, uncrew the 3 screws fasteningthefuel pumpaccess cover. Look to seeif there is gas dripping from around theseal like mine is. Just don't fill it up all the way until you can get it fixed...if that is the problem.

 

Thanks Bryan. I researched this in General Tech and found out that there are some hoses under the drivers seat that could leak. It seems like the smell is comming from there. I will go and take a look right now. Thanks for the tip, I will look into it also.

 

they have 95 in CT? your car doesn't run too good from the switch does it.

 

I get the higest octane. Whicn is brabably 93 not 95. Sorry for the confusion. Who cares how the car runs when you are high on gas fumes. She preferes to drink 93 rather then 89. That's whys she's giving me ****!

 

put something under your car and check it over night. if it's leaking you'll find the spot. if you have an underbelly, take it off for the time being

 

BrayanB, how bad was your leak. I see a little condensation but nothigng excessive. Also, would you say that the gas smell is stronger in the trunk or cabin of your car?

 

Appreciate it for what it is: Gas is still cheaper then most other drugs, so enjoy the intoxication for another few weeks, at which point it will be cheaper to snort cocaine.
