My method is to just disconnect the negative and hold down the horn. Achieves the same goal.

Ok, I supposed I cleared it but it's still on. So I can't really say if it worked.
I disconnected the battery over night and I still have a code.

I'm really curious about whats wrong with my car.
My car seemed to be driving fine then one night the CEL came on.
After that I felt no boost from my car. 3rd gear accelerates slower than 5th gear did at the same speed!
My car is making a whining noise by the turbo and cat but that was happening before the CEL came on.

These are the two codes I got P1338 and I think P0118.
Yup just checked it was P0118. I replaced the blue or in some cases green sensor behind the engine and the light didn't seem to come off.

For some reason I doubt my turbo has hit the dust. Just because the CEL came on and the turbo stopped working at the same time.

Also online P1338 is saying its a Camshaft Position Sensor open or short to B+, but at auto zone it was some kind of manufacturer thing that really didn't sound anything like what it's saying online.

The noise also started coming after I replaced the thermostat and water pump if that helps at all?

I had a WRX with a cat before the turbo and the cat would fall apart and clog the turbo. I don't know if Audi's have the same setup. Pull your turbo off and inspect it. A little side to side play is normal as the shaft is supported by journal bearings and there should be no in/out play.

Single cat on the 1.8Ts that is directly downstream of the turbo.
