ok thanks... now just curious, he said check to make sure the pump isnt stuck open or closed... how do i take it apart without damaging it?

No, don't take it apart. Just make sure the lines to it are good, if they are old replace all of them. To check the plunger just use your finger and try to move it. Or you can find a good vacuum line with the engine running and hook the vacuum line up to it, it should move, if it doesn't its got a bad EGR.

If you got small fingers yes LOL. I would just hook it up to engine vacuum, because that tests its actual function. Find a good vacuum line, the one of the fuel pressure regulator is a good one.

well its been like 100+ last couple days... so either when it cools down or if i can find some shade ill check it out lol

I've had the low flow EGR CEL twice now (148k miles) and each time it was fixed by cleaning out the EGR port in the inlet manifold. Its a typical problem for the 12V engine. Not a huge problem and one you can DIY.

i seafoamed and the car died lol... but the egr port inlet DIY do u have a link?
