Default Need advice!! 19' rims on a4

Whats up so i have a 2000 a4 2.8 b5 chasis (obviously)...anyway im looking to buy these 19' RS4 replica rims off my friend for about $250. I was just wondering if 19's would fit on a stock height suspension or would they rub? Also this summer i plan to get ST coils and how low could i bring down the ride on 19s without rubbing or causing any camber issues? I plan to get a new camber kit with ST coils...any advice would be appreciated. I may just stick with 18's but these 19s look so mean!!

Shouldn't have any issues on the stock suspension, but as soon as you lower it you're going to have lots of clearance problems. Do you happen to know the width and offset? Tire size? You're going to need spacers and rolled fenders to make them work on coils, depending on how low you wanna go

My car came with 19" wheels back when I bought it. Tires were 235/35/19. Wheel offset was ET35. Suspension was Eibach springs (~1.3" drop). Not much clearance on the inside of the tire, and the front fenders needed to be rolled.

It can be done.

the kid claims they are 135-35-19 tires but either way i have to purchase new tires and he doesnt know width or offset. HOpefully i can figure it out thursday when im back home. But either way it sounds like it would be a lot of work to get 19's to work on a lowered B5. I plan to probably drop front/rear at least 1.5' this summer so maybe i should just get a new set of 18's or 17's to be safe or would i still run into issues?....

dumb question but i dont even know what you guys mean by rolled fender...:/ either way sounds like extra work/money and i could just get 17 or 18s and save time/money

I had 19x8 with 235-35-19, ET37, with a 2.5" drop. My fenders got raped every time the suspension compressed. A 225-section tire probably would've just barely for into a rolled fender. As it sat, I could get my pinky into the gap just to the base of the nail.

A 1.5" drop with 225s should be fine. Use a 19x8 wheel with around ET38 or so and you should be fine.

well based on all the comments it sounds like if i want to lower my car i should stick with 18's or 17's to avoid any headaches and wearing of tires...but

im going to be back home thursday to check out wheels. He was getting one of the rims welded because he hit a pot hole (gotta love new york) that was going to be my next question is a weld going to hold up or am i asking for problems with holding air near bead or will new weld be fine?..
