Default Need to Change my vss is this a possibility?

so i was searching online to see if anyone had a diy on changing your vss, now i read online that i would have to remove the wheel and go in blind through the hole that is for the axle, it seems that this youtube way is a lot easier, i was wondering if this would be possible on my 2.8 because the engine is a lot bigger hmmm, any feedback would be appreciated...

It depends of you have a manual or auto. I believe they are in different spots. Either way it is very doable

No way are you going to reach down there with a v6, just pop the hood and try to reach the axle yourself.

Old post, I'm assuming you eventually tackled this. I found this same video, but it appears this won't work with the 2.8L V6.

When I crawled underneath to find it before I'd researched this I did find the VSS, but deduced the wheel would have to come off for access.

I wasn't sure what you meant about going in "blind" though. Do you not have physical access and/or eyes on the VSS after removing the wheel?
