when you try to start it, is the car turning over? or is it just dead?

Yea i know i took a risk now im trying to figure out whats keeping it from passing spark. everything works properly and thats the only thing that led me to believe that maybe it might have a immobilizer chip. but yea i dont know to much about these cars. any idea on how to check if the ignition solenoids are good or is there a relay fuse that would keep it from working? thanks

I have a 2000 a4 1.8t Q and the key are chipped ... you will need to go to a audi dealer and buy one ( I think the remote key is like 300 or 400 $ ) and they will need to program it. As a example, if you install a remote start on your car, they need to take the chip from one of your valet key and insert it in a special module .

So do these car come with the chip in the key, cause i called the dealership earlier and they told me that this year and model didnt come with a chip. and also they told me if it did have a chip the car would turn on but after 3 seconds it would shut off . I got my key from a locksmith.
maybe the dealership lied? not sure but if anyone could help me with this problem i would greatly appreciate it. thanks
