Default Need help with a couple of things

When i got my 99 a4 it came without the trunk cd changer. It has the box and wire there but the previous owner must have ripped it out. Anyways,i found a cd changer off a 97 but it is mounted up top where the rear speakers are and i noticed that the connecting plug is different then mine. Is there a diagram i can use to cut and wire the 97 cd changer to my 99 existing plug to make it work? I spliced the wire on both plugs but the colors don't match up and there seems to be 2 extra wires on my car that's not present on the cd changer cable.

Also,i have my airbag light on in my dash...is there a common problem with a bad sensor or relay on our cars that will cause the light to stay on? And if so...what is the name and/or location of it so that i can fix this problem. Thank you guys so much in advance.

The airbag light could be one of several things:

1. Check the yellow plug under the driver's seat. It has a habit of getting loose and wobbly and causing that light to stay on. A small zip tie will do the trick there.

2. Could also be a bad air bag module, but I *think* that also throws a CEL.

Could also be the plug under the passenger seat, or the plug for the steering wheel airbag. A damaged air bag module will only display the air bag light.

To clear air bag codes/light, you need VAG COM.

Oh ok thanks, i will check that as soon as i get back to my car after work.Does anyone have any info on the cd changer?
edit: I checked the plugs under the seats but they seam to be fine.So the next step would be to change the airbag module?
