haha poor cat, but to answer ur question it never does it in any neutral, not sitting nor moving, in netural with clutch in or neutral with clutch out.

 

I have a very similar noise on my A4. I have a 2.8 tho.

its the same when I'm accelerating hard in 1st - 3rd. It started happening around when I put a K&N intake on.

It sounds almost like somethings hitting the fan, but its clear. And it only happens the first 1 or 2 times you accelerate hard. So by the time I'm to the mechanic it works fine / makes me look like an ***.

 

Yeah i guess my sound does sound similar to a intermittent contact with the fan too like something is bumping into it every once and a while ill hafta check that out although i havent seen anything. Mine seems like it sounds a little to deep for it to be that but ill check that too. Thanks
