need help with vag

Default need help with vag

i just got vag(USB cable KKL 409.1 VW/AUDI OBD2 OBD USB VAG COM 409) and i cant get it to read my car at all. i was hopping to reset my service light and stuff but it wont work. i plug it in and it just keep searching, i did have the car on too. let me no thanks

Did you configure the software and vag-com's settings to com1? if not,there is your reason why its not finding your car.

I assume you are using vcds-lite? if so,it asks you to configure the setting,then save the settings,once the vag-com and software have been set properly.

what other settings do i have to enter, or does it do it by itself. i tired i on com 1

I told you,go into the vag-com setting in device manager,set it to com1 in the properties,then advanced settings,then change the settings,in the software to com1,it should work then i hope you installed the drivers

i tried all of that and it still not working. all its doing is trying to find it, and i goes thought 4 tries and says it not compatible
