The blue book on this car is $5000. A B5 S4 is $10000. A B6 S4 is $17000. This guy is smokin crack. Now if it had the 4.2l swap, then that's a whole different story.

These cars can take a serious *** whooping, daily, and then some. I wouldn't be affraid of the way it's been driven (asside from accident history) as much as the outrageous price. Blue book values change in different zip codes and states (and countries) but with all those mods and services he's probably trying to get a lot of what he put into it. It's obviously been done right all the way around. Pretty low miles for it's age, I'd say. Badass car. Offer him $13k cdn.

First off, thanks for all the opinions!

I thought the price was kinda crazy for a 98 with 150+k, but I thought I would double check here just incase. I think I'll ask him for paperwork on the maintenance and mods, and if its all there, make him the offer of 13k offer. Then take it to a shop if he accepts before I finalize anything.

If this doesn't work out, I guess ill just have to keep searching for the right b5 or b6 to be put up for sale.

Thanks AF!
