Default need pricess pleasee.

so i just got my audi a4 2.8 V6, i fixed alot and now i need a new ac compressore, new ball joint, and i have and oil leak. what prices am i looking at for these jobs ?

Well for the A/C compressor can be had anywhere from $90 used online (EBay, Toms Foreign Auto) up to $343-$850 new.

You'd have to try to find the source of the oil leak. I leak a little from the filter, but it could be your valve cover gaskets, upper oil pan gasket, lower oil pan gasket, etc .... Recent posts say that using RTV can be used to properly seal the components which is pretty cheap considering.

Only big worry, as always with Audi, is he labor.....are you going to handle all this yourself?

I dont trust myself doing these jobs, id rather get these done by a professional

You can easily add a few hundred dollars to those estimates then. Do you have a reliable shop to take the car to? Hopefully they won't rape you for the work.

yeah im hoping i dont get raped either, lol. what do yu think is a reasonable price for the ac compressor to be put in ?

Well if you feel like a road trip, us NY guys can handle all of that and do it for significantly less than a shop. I can give you plenty of references from on this forum if need be. PM me if you want to talk it over.

We are in Binghamton - right where rte 81 intersects with rte 17.
