Neuspeed or H&R Sway Bar?
I'm looking at getting a new rear sway bar but I'm not sure which to go with. People seem to be happy with both but I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with both? ECS has the H&R 21mm for $159 and SPP has the Neuspeed 19mm for $229. Which should I go with?
When looking for a rear sway, only buy one that has the support brackets
nuespeed and hotchkins H-sports are the only two companies that I know of that comes with the supports
if you buy a stiff rear sway without the support bars, you WILL end up cracking your frame
sway bars were designed to work together as a set f+r....you will not feel a dramatic difference in handling unless you replace both front and rear
best sways for out cars is the hotchkins H-Sports...I have seen them for 450$ and I think there was a groupbuy for $400 not too long ago
Nuespeed are second best and I think the f+r go for 420$...they are also a good setup
do not buy a rear sway without the support braces (which distribute the load onthe frame)....
I would save your pennies and buy both f+r at the same time...i think if you just buy the one it will throw off the car
they were designed and tested to work together...not as a missmatched set-up
gl!
these are the H-Sport brackets;

and here is the neuspeed brackets;

I have an H&R and it's great sorry I can't compare it to the neuspeed. Does the neuspeed come with endlinks or the subframe bracket thing? If not I don't see why it's so much more. If you have sport suspension thats not much bigger than stock 21mm is a good size I think, you can get the tail out when you want.

I read some place that the factory front bar is a 29mm so it wouldn't be a real upgrade to get the Neuspeed 29mm would it? I've heard of many people just doing the rear bar only and have had great results. I'm thinking I might just do the Neuspeed rear and then see how that goes, if I'm not happy I can get the front too. It's only about a $15 difference if I buy the f/r together.

For the H&R rear sway, you can simply weld-up a couple of SS shafts for reinforcement (check the link in my earlier post).

^it's more dangerous and uncontrolled, you can get used to it, and it can become fun for a while, but in my opinion it's a waste of tires and it'll slow you wayy down.
get both f+r, your cornering/carving will be compramised if you only siffen up the a$$...sways are designed to work together, it makes no sense to just buy one

I think most people make the assumption that since our cars understeer, the addition of a rear swaybar (paired with a stock front) will ultimately make it neutral or even oversteer like an S2000 or NSX. Yes, you will oversteer at the limit, but not in the same manner as the two cars I mentioned. It's more like a lazy slide, that will 'violently' pull to wherever your front tires are pointed at, since you have to be 'on throttle' in order to avoid sideways action that will lead your tail towards a concrete barrier.
I've experienced this first hand by the way. Not because I chose to stay with just a rear sway, but because the shipment of my front bar was delayed. So I experimented a bit on the track, and it was a handful especially on tight chicanes. Our cars were meant to understeer, simply swapping the rear sway will not make it handle like a RWD.
