1. I love my B5.

2. 6 months

3. It in absolutely immaculate condition.

4. I was looking at all the luxury brand cars, as I had just sold my Merc, but when I saw this Audi, I fell in love with the car.

Do you like your new audi? It's well built and solid, excellent shape for a 98.5 w/146k. Previous owner put over $7k into maintenance/repairs over the course of 5 years so little for me to do now. It is a little underpowered, even for a 1.8T so I have to look into the turbo and make sure it's fully functional.

How long have you owned it? Bought May 1, so 12 days now.

Why did you decide to buy one? I've been a BMW guy with 3 E34s prior to this for my commuter cars. Last one was totaled in a rear end accident and I could not find a suitable replacement. Always had the B5 as an alternate and decided to take the leap this time around.

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? Just another E34. One thing I've noticed is that Audis hold up better against rust than similarly aged BMWs. Not sure if lower door design is the reason or something else, but it was easy to find Midwest examples with no rust at all. Not so easy with E34s.

My Grandfather has always had vw and audi cars. Gave my dad his first audi 4 years ago. 220,000 miles front wheel drive automatic 2.3 L we loved it ran good stuck in gear once in a while just put in nuetral and shut off and restarted engine and it was fine. Father is not one for maintnance and we never changed the timing belt so it went bending the valves and so on. We did change some bad wheel bearings but thats it.

Now he got a 1997 audi a4 2.8L quattro given to him 5 speed manual heated leather seats 6 cd changer 170,000 miles original clutch is shot but is still being driven every day. Wheel bearings need replacement. Hit dear removing rf turn signal ***. But all in all good car. Ellectric fans don't work so over heats while sitting in summer if heat is not on.

I am going to look at the exact 1997 audi a4 quattro 2.8L 5 speed with 170,000 but had clutch replaced and transe gone through. Body looks exellent and owner wants $750 It has an old inspection and some codes witch I posted as a seperate thread but I am hoping to be buying that. I am gonna offer him $500 today

I have a 2000 cadi sts with a 4.6 northstar with an overheating problem as my first car and plan to fix it but do not have the time/money to drop the sub frame until school is out and I can make some money working. I paid $1,000 for this car

This would be a video of me doing what I love.

Questions to answer:

Do you like your new audi? I positively love it so far...I am hooked

How long have you owned it? About 3 weeks, Bought it may 4, 2011

Why did you decide to buy one? The fuel mileage in my Suburban was KILLING my pocketbook, and I have always liked the look of the audi's, never thought I would own one though

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? I was looking at cars in the past I have owned that I liked. Ford Probe GT's, Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, This Audi puts them all to shame though, it fits me perfect.
So I bought the 2001 Audi A4 1.8T and I have a feeling I will own audi's from here on out.

So far I like it, and I will most likely love it when it gets on the road for daily use.

Bought it May 18, 2011

Bought it off a friend with a pretty well modded S4. Couldn't beat the price. And my 89 Honda Accord should have stopped passing inspection at least 4-5 years ago :x

I was tossing around a few ideas...B5 S4, Infiniti G35, Nissan 300zx, V8 S10 mini truck project, full size pickup...But for the price and condition of this A4, I definitely could not pass it up.

1. Love the Audi, one of the most comfortable rides I've been in and certainly one of the most fun to drive. I have a B5 2001 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8t.

2.I've owned it for only a few months. Shortly after I bought it I was deployed overseas (depressing). Not enough play time with her.

3.I wanted an AWD car that had a great deal of potential, that was fun to drive, reliable, but also with a sense of luxury.

4.I've looked at EVOs, and I do like them. But I've fallen for Audis.

Can't wait to get to know everyone here. I'm sure theres a bunch of knowledge waiting to be soaked up.

1. I Love this car

2. I just bought it 2 weeks ago

3. I've been looking at the model for a while now. Im sick of my automatic Civic. I wanted something that was all wheel drive, v6 and a manual that was affordable, so here it is a '99 Audi a4 2.8 quattro

4. I was looking at '99 miata, '99-'00 BMW 323i
