Ok so go to control panel WITH VAG COM CONNECTED TO PC.

-at the bottom of control panel select (view hardware and devices)

-then you should see ports (COM & LP)

-select usb serial port in tab(double click)

-select advanced in port settings

-select com port 1-4 its your choice

-change transmit/recieve bytes to 1856

-change latency timer to 7

-save and exit

-now connect cable w/ computer to obd2 and follow other instructions i gave(be sure to select same com port in VCDS you set in the device manager)

Hope this helps

i got it to work on most of the things... still cant get it to read my abs though

but this is wat i got for my airbag light how do i fix it ??

Control Module Part Number: 8D0 959 655 M
Component and/or Version: Airbag 7 Audi 0502
Software Coding: 00104
Work Shop Code: WSC 06335
1 Faults Found:
01218 - Side Airbag Igniter; Passenger Side (N200)
32-10 - Resistance too High - Intermittent

does this have to do with the connecter under the seat ive been hearing about ?

also on a side note looks like im doing rear hub bearings tom.. i went to pull my rear brakes and notices the right rear is a junked bearing minus another 200 from waterfest money

fronts are in and tight and done including pads and rotors

Hey ther storm, Do what you can with the Vag Com, dont be upset you bought it, believe me I will be indispensable in the future, youll be able to quickly diagnose any problems w/ the engine and control modules. be sure to check the air bag connection beneath the seats sometimes they will get loose from the power seats.
