New to Audi... quick question
I am new to Audi, just got a 99.5 A4 fwd... its basiclly stock other than aftermarket filter, exhaust and dropped. It's my 1st turbo car, and I want to have that "pssst" noise....and i noticed i can barely hear the stock one.
My question is what can you change to make that "blow-off" sound more noticeable? By changing the diverter valve? I see a cheap upgrade it's to the Bosch n710... will i be able to notice the difference? I don't plan to chip the car yet, since this is currently my daily driver.
Sorry for the long post.... thanks in advance!

lets not flame the noob phil lol...
But you can get a louder turbo by either getting a bigger one, or getting an intake like the carbonio then doing a bov.
Also, you'll want to chip. Probably with GIAC. That will give you more boost, and a louder sound obv....
Read the newbie forums. It'll tell you everything else

Well, you've run into a little problem. Insert the endless debate about BOVs and DVs here...
Anyway, you now own an Audi. It was made in Germany, not Japan. It is not a Civic, Integra, Lancer, or Eclipse, nor is it a Nissan 123XYZ. We Audi owners don't sit in the parking lot and rev our engines just to make it go phhhssstt. The 99.5 is a beautiful mid year to own, all the new stuff of the 2000, with the better engine of the 99.
Go to the Modifications and Maintenance sticky, here I'll link it for you to make it easier.

This has everything you could possibly imagine as far as how to upgrade. Good luck, and welcome to the forums.
