New to the Audi scene...HELP!!!
I just bought an Audi A4 too except it's an automatic. The timing belt is a big issue. Mine has to be replaced and since the guy I bought it from did ghetto maintenance. I am just going to have the engine rebuilt but anyway. One thing I noticed about my car and that it could help you is that I drove it on a gravel road slowly. It helped me hear the noises in the suspension. I think I have a bad CV shaft and rear suspension components. Glad I bought this car way cheap. She will handle great when I am done. Hope this helped.
the sound of rocks crunching can mask suspension noises, thats not the best idea. i just did a test drive for my boss whos looking at some mazda. see if you can get the car for 5 minutes without the owner coming with you, then you can beat on it and see what you find. i found that the cars anti lock brakes werent working (when i locked up the wheels going down hill heh). just go on some back roads with no other cars around and carefully drive like an idiot for a few minutes.
