i just got an audi 99.5 with 108,000 miles on it and the clutch was slipping and now it doesnt move at all and it gives off a burning smelll i take it, it needs a new clutch right? well if i get this clutch and flywheel combo http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-ST...mZ150277381609 what else should i get? like any gaskets or lubes or anything like that the reason im asking is because i will be supplying the guy who is doing it with all the supplies and i want to make sure he has everything he needs

 

sounds like you should just ask him what all he needs

 

you should contact Mike@DTH and get a southbend stg 2 kit. its much higher quality than the ebay one and will last a long time, its a kevlar clutch disk. and it costs roughly the same.

you get everything you need in the kit. its a good idea to change the tranny fluid tho.

 

Ya Mike is a great guy he got me a stage 2 clutch for 395. It was that cheap cuz I went and picked it up while I dropped off my FW to get resurfaced since I am local to South Bend. I'd stick w/ stock FW and get the stage 2. Feels great! That and ebay is not the place to go buying that kind of stuff...

 

You'd be better off with a OE replacement than the EBay clutch. This is not something you want to have to do more than once in a blue moon.
