Welcome to the forums!

What type of e36 did you have? my family had an e30 and e36 previous to our two A4s.

If you haven't yet, definitely check out the newbie guide. It has answers to many common questions:

https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=109385

Unfortunately, not many performance mods for the early A4 V6 engines, but there are a few things you can do.

oh, it has more pep than the 4cyl 318 I had haha I decided against the 1.8t because I have no modding in mind, just cosmetic things.

as stated above i had a 318. loved it to death but it was a snowball problem car. This a4 has been very well maintained and a majority of problem parts taken care of. I was reading the newbie guide earlier, thanks though!

Agreed with jc61990 - you picked the right car. Any A4 looks great, but if you only want cosmetic mods, then the 12v is great because it's a proven workhorse that'll run forever with proper care. You'll love it for sure. Welcome aboard
