New guy on the block
Hi all - I bought a '99 A4 2.8Q w/ 72,000 miles for $10kand was at first excited...now unimpressed with my buy. I love the audi look and their cars in general, however, I kind of have buyer's regret now that I've had to put in over $1800 in repairs (Oil pan twice, gasket seals, brakes, brake flushes, oxygen sensor, radio code, among others). Anyways, I am debating talking to the audi store (not a dealership) that I bought it from and asking them to trade me fora 2001 1.8T Quattro, since I have this feeling of being ripped off. Or keep my 2.8 since I've done almost everything on it and it should be in great condition now and begin modifying it. My other reason for trading for a 1.8T is because I don't think I can get over 300hp with a 2.8 as easy as the 1.8T. Does anyone have any thoughts on this idea or feedback on the 2001? Suggestions on performanceupgrades for a 2.8? Any suggestions for my situation? Happy to join the forum and get into customizing my car, whichever it will be.
its your prefrence you have done almsot everything to the A4 which honestly i think you could have gotten for cheaper but then again you want power and could really use the turbo power plant. personally if your ready to ride into battle go back to teh audi place and let them know you got screwed over and want a clena trade. plus despite the year the 1.8t is supposed to be cheaper since its menat to be the economy engine.
