Default New Guy. New World.

So I just picked up my First Audi. 1999 Audi A4 1.8T AWD Auto Slap Shifter... Got a few questions.

Performance first and foremost. What is the "Best bang for the Buck" What mod can I buy that I will notice a difference and enjoy a power difference. What can I do to get some more PSI outta the Turbo.

I also am wondering has anyone went with an aftermarket BOV. I'd really like to hear it a bit more.

Pretty much just here for questions right now. Thanks in advanced!

Welcome, I bought my first Audi in November, but I'd suggest you learn to use the STICKIES at the top of the forum, they answer these questions. Youtube has like a bizillion videos of 1.8T's with blow off valves. The Forge splitter is nice.

Google is your friend.

A chip is around $200-500 and you gain almost 50hp with it.

This particular video is what made me question the BOV. He states a BOV is "Dangerous" for the 1.8T

i have a bov on my 1.8, but i am not stock

as long as you are stock or semi stock stay with the dv, once you go bt look into a bov, if you just want to hear your dv more get a cone filter or do the airbox mod, those both make the dv louder.... also if there is not one on there you might look into a aftermarket dv

i actually have a stratosphere you could get cheap

and look into tuning for more hp/psi..... also as said read the stickies, you will learn alot
