Had to bring back some flavor from back home. I was born in Hawaii. Might be thinking of going a bright color for the wheels maybe blue or orange

 

Hey man, got your PM and then saw this. I used a dye called SEM Color Coat to do my pillars, seats, and door panel inserts. Not terribly hard, just a lot of prep and masking, and being sure there is absolutely ZERO conditioner or anything on the leather or it won't take. Shoot me a cell number via and I can talk to you about the process.

 

did you dye your plastic jeremy? Ive been meaning to ask you this.

 

Yup, SEM works great on the trim plastics. I dyed the B and C pillars, oh-**** handles, and visors black, so when I finally suede the headliner it'll all blend. I wrapped the A pillars in black suede at the same time that I wrapped the rear deck and beltline trim. The look is pretty nice - subtle but obviously not OEM.

 

Thanks bro! I was just going to use upholstery paint. I have cloth seats not leather. Yeahh that's what I figured especially when you are dealing with dyes.

 

where do you buy SEM color coat?

 

I bought it at a local paint shop - the type of place that mixes custom and OEm-match paint for body shops - but it can be ordered online. I'd recommend using it. I used the stuff from Advance Auto on a different car and it looked great...until it started just coming off like crazy. Turns out it's ****. Use SEM. It's for real.

 

For the pillars did you take them out or just wrapped/dyed them still in the car?
