My car already has the sport shocks, and with a 109k on the car, they handle flawlessly. I know it would make sense to do new shocks at the same time, but I don't really have 300-400 for new shocks right now. I do plan on doing it myself. I have done shock work before on a few of my older cars.

My neighbor has an 04 Passat 1.8T 4 motion. does anyone know if my coils would fit on his car? I know he really wants to lower it, and I thought it would be a easy way to do it. I'm sure the fronts would be similar, but I don't know how the rears are set up. Maybe I should ask this on Vortex or PW

if it were an earlier passat then you could go for it but since its newer i'm sure things have changed enough to make it not work.

enjoy the springs though! as long as youre not hitting the track dont worry about your shocks, theyll do fine but their life will just be shortened some. with lower springs you'll certainly know it when its time to replace them as you pogo down the road haha.

I know rear A4 quattro springs won't fit on a FWD Passat, but his Passat is all wheel drive. I think it might work.

i mean you never know with the way audi/vw share parts across bodies and years. im just thinking since in mid 01 the passat changed from the b5 to the b5.5 and with the facelift the engine and a lot of other parts changed too. i havent dug out my repair manuals to check though.
